Learning & Teaching

A Unique Curriculum

Key Stage 4

The Tendring Enterprise Studio School offers the following courses and key components:

  • GCSE English
  • GCSE Mathematics
  • GCSE Double Science
  • Additional GCSEs to reflect career aspirations
  • A unique offer of Vocational pathways which include Engineering, Catering, Construction, Horticulture, Hair & Beauty, Health & Social Care, Automotive and Animal Care. Many of these courses are delivered by specialist providers from our Educational partners and providers.
  • Enterprise Projects designed to develop key skills such as communication, teamwork, creativity, decision making, and resourcefulness. The students learn through real life learning. Our students work extensively in the community.
  • Weekly work experience linked to career aspirations
  • Personal and group coaching sessions.

We have a professional business like dress code which moves away from the ‘traditional’ school or academy uniform. Every student will also be assigned a personal coach who will meet their students weekly for an individual one to one session to review progress and to enable them to develop personal learning programmes. The Personal Coach will assist students in linking together all the aspects of school life including work experience to ensure that the time spent at school is optimised in terms of achievement and enjoyment.
